Statement of Faith

Our faith rests upon the revelation and teaching of the whole Bible
and the following summary only expresses what we understand
to be important aspects of that revelation and teaching.

We believe the Bible to be the only infallible authoritative Word of God.
All doctrine and practice are to be subject to and consistent with the Bible.

We believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man,
regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

We believe that eternal life is the gift of God, received by grace alone,
through faith alone in the person and finished work of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling,
the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved
unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that we are commissioned to go into the world and make disciples,
baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
and teaching them to obey the commands of Jesus Christ.

We believe the local church is the primary God-established base of worship,
nurture, fellowship and evangelism.

We believe and hold to those five doctrines commonly called
‘the Doctrines of Grace’ namely:

  • The total depravity of man in his fallen state.
  • That salvation is entirely unmerited and all of grace.
  • Particular and definite atonement of the elect.
  • Invincibility of saving grace.
  • Final perseverance of the elect.
